It depends upon what you mean by democracy. If you only mean direct democracy, then no, America isn’t a democracy. However, people do vote for representation on almost every level (excepting the electoral college which I figure is fair because EVERYONE hates it), and since I’m a bit of an idealist…I’d say yeah, America is a democracy. Obviously the system isn’t perfect, but I haven’t yet heard a suggestion for a better version.
